DIY Rattan Headboard

One of the most exciting ways to use Rattan Acrylic is in furniture design. We decided to create a Rattan Headboard, a statement piece that brings warmth and texture to any bedroom. Here’s how we did it:

• Design & Scale: We created a file and scaled it to fit a twin-size bed.

• Materials Used:

  • 1/16" Clear Acrylic for the backer (adhered with Orabond)

  • 1/4" Matte Olive Acrylic for the frame

  • 1/8" Rattan Acrylic for the inner pieces

• Assembly: Once everything was cut, we carefully adhered each piece to the backer after removing the Orabond and masking. A quick wipe-down ensured a flawless finish, and the result was a modern yet timeless headboard!

Rattan Lantern Accent Piece

To complement the headboard, we used this DesignBundles file to create a Rattan Lantern. This piece adds a cozy ambiance, especially when paired with warm lighting. The layered texture of the Rattan Acrylic makes the lantern look high-end while being lightweight and easy to assemble.
