LIMITLESS ACRYLIC GUIDE
With LIMITLESS ACRYLIC, there are truly no limits to what YOU can create for your customers. However it can be a little overwhelming when you go to order stock patterns with all the choices, so we've put together this little guide for you!
What is a core color?
If you start with any of our patterns you'll follow the prompts to create your own limitless print! The core color is the color acrylic we print on. Most people choose white, black, or clear. Keep in mind the core color will change the stock image a touch- white will be the closest to the stock image. Clear is going to be close for a full color print, but we print on one side only so you can see through the front for a bit of depth. Black cores will mute the color a bit from what you see on the website.
If you'd like another core color, simply click the box that says "Upgrade your core color" under Customize It! Additional options will display after you select that box. The core colors can affect your print in one of two ways. If you choose a standard (full color-white background) print (where available), the core color will be the color your image will engrave. For example, many people are ordering our Christmas cake print with a green or dark green core, so they can engrave names in it in green. For prints that offer a scattered option, you can use a different core color to change the "color" of the pattern. The core color on a scattered print replaces the white on the image.
How can we print your pattern?
Transparent print. This is best for stained glass and abstract options- your acrylic will be transparent as will the pattern. There is usually minimal or no white printed (depending on the pattern), so you can expect it to be light.
Full color is our most popular option. In this option we print your pattern, a layer of white ink, and your pattern again. This way, the pattern is visible from both sides and has a brightness and saturation to it so the color is vibrant!
Scattered is another popular option, but we only print white where the pattern is. If you're looking at stock website photos, imagine all the white space being transparent/clear. This is NOT available on abstract prints.
This can be a fun option as well on different core colors- in this way you can change the background color of your pattern to whatever the core color is.
A few things to note when ordering other core colors:
Glitter & Metallics are NOT Viable options for engraving cores. When engraved they are a dull/matte finish and do not offer the POP of glitter or metallic. They are best for scattered options where you want to see the glitter or metallic as a background to the pattern.
